The Weekend: Mayhem + Lactose Intolerance

Mon Sep 15, 2008, 1:05 AM
I really was kind of looking forward to this weekend. My sister was away at her boyfriend's place and my boyfriend, who usually is with me on weekends, is away on a motorcycle trip with friends for 9 days.

I lay in bed at night on Friday with a stupid grin on my face, imagining and fantasizing about all the knitting and spinning I'd finally have time to do. In theory it was a great plan. Like all theoretically great plans, life has a way to SMACK that bitch in the face so you're faced with the reality.

I woke up on Saturday morning and it was raining. Perfect for a day at home doing my craft stuff. I was highly motivated and after doing the dishes I decided to do a load of laundry.

While waiting for that to get done I organised my knitting stuff and catalogued everything for my move. I suddenly noticed my feet starting to feel really cold and damp. I looked down and didn't really notice something weird so I carried on. It wasn't until I *tried* to get up to check on the laundry that I noticed I was wading. Yeah, wading.

The thing is, the drainage hose of my washing machine doesn't fit onto the pipe fixture. So, everytime we do a wash, we have to put the pipe into our shower. Yeah, guess I forgot that.

Because it was so cold it took forever for everything to dry out. Sure I mopped but that only got me so far.

I comforted myself with lots of ice cream. Then some sandwiches with lots of cheese. Then a huge glass of chocolate milk.

My stomach rebelled in both directions.

Nothing says lonely and disasterous weekend like extreme bowel movements while ankle deep in water.

:sarcastic:

How was YOUR weekend?

To twist one purest cause
Into an honest verse,
Itself, a call to angels.
The saddened lips of song that
Kiss away our innocence
From the vile mundane.
